Hard and dangerous work. Very unfortunate.

Very sad indeed. I fell in the water 3 weeks ago, and it is instantly disabling. I fought hard and was lucky to get out. Still dealing with heart problems that came from ten minutes in the water.

Saw that in the paper - just goes to show how quick life can be taken away.

Try to enjoy every day you get - goes by far too fast.

I dont know what the hell it is with Jan. 5th, but it is no time to be around the water. As we were standing on the dock in Wenona remembering Capt. Brian Wagner (fell in last Jan. 5th) Capt. Art Benton mentioned something about the waterman that fell in @ Fishing Bay. I feel for that mans family and anyone else who has lost a loved one on the water.

"Edwin" was a good man. He loved to waterfowl hunt. My brother and his sons duck hunted with Edwin many days down near bloodworth island. Many good stories from those hunts. We were fortunate enough to get Edwin to goose hunt with us from time to time over the years. The lower eastern shore watermen community is a very small tight knit family. Edwin will be sorely missed.
