I believe you can connect to outlook exchange servers with the 3g i-phones. They're not great with e-mail, though. It's harder to type on the touch screen and it just seems harder to manage e-mail. If you want to use it for work e-mail, I'd really recommend you check one out first and make sure you'll be happy with it. Personnaly, I'll keep my blackberry for work e-mail

I own a small business and get a ton of emails daily. It came down to the blackberry or the I-Phone. Currently we are using the new 3G I-Phone. I have not had any problems receiving emails. I like the I-Phone because its user friendly, only drawback is the touch screen. I have sausages for fingers and found the blackberry to be easier to type with. My opinion would be the Blackberry is a better phone for business if your on the "GO" and need to type an important document.. We use the I-Phone (numerous phones) because Mac's customer service is compared to none. I have yet had to pay to replace one at my cost.

Baldzilla,

Given that you email and text like a frantic 12 year old girl, I think you should stay with the BB. The iPhone is better for everything else, but the touchscreen bogs you down when trying to blast out a bunch of emails and texts.

I just switched over to the iPhone from a palm treo. I've been blown away by how easy the iphone is to use for email and web. By and far the web browser is phenomenal for a handheld. In fact, I read and replied to this thread from it while sitting in the car waiting for the Mrs.!

If you get an iPhone you may want to jailbreak it. There are many other apps available only for jailbreakers. These are apps that Apple has either declined from Appstore for one reason (usually they break one of their ridiculous rules) or the developer doesn’t own a MAC or doesn’t feel like paying $100 to distribute their app.

I switched from a BB pearl to the IPhone 3 months ago. Only complaint about iPhone is the lack of cut (or copy) and paste. The touch screen is great, but makes use while driving more dangerous because you cant navigate by feel. I shouldnt use the phone while driving - I know.

I have the ip3g and must say it IMHO is light years better than the BB.. also for those that have big hands like me when typing if you hit the wrong letter you can drag your finger across the screen till you highlight the right letter..... makes life alot easier :)
