Someone has to be doing something on the water here in NE -- cod & haddock? Mackerel can't be too far away now. Every time I get a little window of opportunity it seems to be blowing a gale. I'm looking to get out next week though...

HI:
Macks are in up north.
Flounder, if there are any left should be on their way out. Block Island will have ther BIG SNOWSHOES NOW. Go get 'em
If you want cod, look around the small wrecks in about 200 feet of water.
Around Montauk, they'll be in the shallows on the South side of the sialnd. Pollack should be there with them now. Wont be long 'till they work offshore again.
HINT...HINT..HINT... Use the Chrome Ball and two hook rig for the bigger Cod/Pollack. They get attracted by the flash and will take a bait on each hook.
