Took a good friend out today who never saw let alone caught a striper over 35". Well today every fish he caught was over 35". He caught a43",45" with the biggest being 47" My bother in-law was along also. It is great to see people catch these giant fish. The bite really came on between 2 & 4: 30pm with the turn of the tide. Water temp 49, nice and clean. Most fish came on free swimming eels. Ended up with six fish over 40". We would have had more but do to some inexperiece we lost a few. What a way to end up my first eeling season. Final tally = 7 trips 22 fish 11 released. all but 2 over 40' with the the largest fish being a 51" 45.5lb & a 49" 44lb. A few 46"s and lots of 44" & 45". What a blast. Here are todays fish pics. Happy new year. I also put a pic of the boat in for good measure.
