Left the dock at 700, crew was Paul (onefishnfool) and Dan (dwkoller). Ran out front and started dropping lines. Right away the deep tandem got hit hard....stripped all the PP off the reel and finally snapped the mono backing...guess we snagged something.
Trolled over to the CR, south near 78 and back up, worked shallow water, the deep channel and everythin in between.....nada. Talked to a few on the radio and they were slow too, heard of a couple fish caught off BP.
While in front of Chesapeake Beach we snagged a submerged gill net (see my other post, http://www.tidalfish.com/forums/che...ng-illegal-ghost-gill-net-off-ches-beach.html),
after all that excitement we decided to bag it.

Wind was kickin a bit this morning but laid down real nice as predicted.....turned into a beautiful day on the Bay. Good crew, good WX, just need to add fish in the box.
That smell of skunk is thick !

Thanks for your report. I plan (maybe) to fish that area tomorrow, did you mark any fish on the meter?

Fished the same area for 3 hrs late this afternoon. Also snagged something off Parkers in 40' and stripped off half the line before breaking off. Marked a few fish but no big balls of bait. Not a strike. Might be time to go south
