I bought a used Penn 113h, and opened it up to see if it needed any work.
The drag washers were obviously brand new, but I haven't seen these before. They are light green, and looked like they were stamped out of a sheet that had some lettering on it.
Can anyone tell me what these are? Should I grease them (they were dry).

They are Smoothies. You can run wet or dry.

yup, they're the old smoothies. i'd recommend tossing them and going back to penn ht-100 drag washers with a coat of cal's drag grease. alan
