All year long I've been reading about the microbacteria that is and will be devastating the striped bass population in the Chesapeake Bay, but not once have I read about a possible solution. I've seen first hand what this disease does to the fish so I feel compelled to help out in any way that I can. I've joined Stripers forever and reported tagged fish fish, but I know there's more that we can do. Someone needs to take the lead on finding a solution and they need to do it fast. Once a research group is in place we can start putting together tournaments to start raising money for research. If anybody knows of a research group or organization that is spearheading this effort please let me know. I would like to do whatever I can to help preserve this unbelievable resource that we have right in our back yard. I remember the 80's when striper fishing was almost impossible. Lets do what we can now to avoid that in the future.
