I need a bit of help and can't seem to find the info in a search.
I am contemplating purchasing a Garmin ECHOMAP UHD 93sv and I'm confused about the mapping option.

Will the Lake Vu map cover the Chesapeak including the Severn and Potomac River or do I need the Costal mapping?

I have the coastal mapping on mine. I believe mine is the 94sv. Which is the saltwater map version. Not sure if the 93 will have the bay in the maps.

I bought the Garmin 93sv and it has all the fresh water maps. I bought a 94sv chip card and installed it so now I have all the fresh and salt water maps.
The 93sv is ONLY fresh water and not the bay to answer your question......... Gary

It looks like I can get the SV94 with coastal maps (same unit as the 93) and then purchase the freshwater maps from navionics later if needed. Lake Vu only has about 8 lakes in Maryland (I fish two of them) but I already know the contours plus I could just map them myself over time if needed.

This chart seems to cover both inland and costal for $150
