With the old scar on that tree, it looks like somebody has been using that tree for the last few years.

I would say 4-5 years.I found it rabbit hunting last year and knew it was a good place for trail camera.
I have pics of the last buck at 4:58,4:59,5:00 up to 5:04 as he walks away.Seven pics in a row.I had the camera set up for taking pics every min.You would think that flash on the camera would had bothered him.

What kind of tree was that rub on?

We have some big deer on the eastern shore of MD but they seem to still like the smaller trees or saplings to rub. They use cedars for bigger trees (6")and pine saplings for smaller rubs (1-2") but dont use the larger pine saplings much?
