I saw the economic impact on our passion of fishing, last night. I went to the boat show. I know it is the first night, but things did not look the same. I see less days, less venders, not many clubs and quarter million dollar boats. I wish them all the best in this time of economic stress.

WTF who the hell can afford a 1/4 million dollar boat!!! The most expensive boat I have ever owned was $500 boat motor and trailer and fished 75 miles offshore regularly in it. Like dad said anything more than 15 or 20 grand is out of reach to 95% of people. Boat makers have priced themselves out of business.

If anyone wants a deal on a "new" boat, check out the repos which are stacking up in Richmond. I was over there a couple of weeks ago, and they are stacking the boats on top of boats.
Rough economy equals alot of people choosing what they pay on. The rest gets sold at auction.

there is a boat dealer on RT 1 next to Greentop...I think it's Commonwealth Boat, I bought a Seapro there back in the late 80's and got a hellacious deal...I used the boat for 6 years and sold it for $500 more than I paid for it AND all the money I spent on it... including storage
