I've got a new boat and I'm not far from the Great Bridge locks - what species are down by me? I know there are the specks in the hot ditch, but that place is pretty much a parking lot these days.

Any help is greatly appreciated! My 8 year old caught her first fish today (cat) and is so excited to go out on the boat now.

You don't have to be in the hot ditch to catch fish in that area. Just look for suitable water temps in th area from the Gilmerton Bridge to the GB locks and you might catch puppy drum, trout, stripers, etc.
