Ok folks, I need some advice.

I have a hall pass to do some hunting tomorrow (Jan. 9). I hunt Montgomery County.

It's deer firearms season there for that one last day.

The weather's supposed to be crappy (rain/sleet mix) in the early AM.

It's been really cold for last few days (frozen inland ponds/swamps).

It has been raining like crazy for the last few days (flooded fields/high Potomac)...

I'm STUMPED? Geese, ducks or deer?

What would you do?...

Oh my, such a decision. What, pray tell is a hall pass? Is that when the wife lets you go?:D (Please, please, pretty please can I go, I'll take you shopping tomorrow,I promise) The way you shoot, I'd go with the scattergun, you have a better chance. And be carefull you don't fall, and poke your eye out. Stop by the shop tonight after 7PM if you want to see what a dead deer looks like.:D T.

No prob Croakers...heeeey, I'm not THAT bad a shot!...;-)...and you hit the "hall pass" nail on the head. The wife's starting to get smart about the nearing end of the season...

So two votes for deer, one vote ducks/geese (though I feel like that's sort of a split vote)...

Keep 'em coming...

Thanks for letting me slide on that one Calowe, but Mikehn is still gonna hammer me. He waits for me to screw up. But I have an excuse, I'm old and senile. I'd go for the deer, but that's just me. Go ahead Mike, hammer away. T.

If you have birds, then for me it would be a no brainer. With you with the hall pass. Alot of guys up here work off weather windows, not me I work with work and chore windows. This is a tough time of year, everything I like to do happens between Oct. 1 and Jan. 31.
