spent your ENTIRE Saturday in bed with your spouse/significant other having a good time (not sleeping, watching tv or eating food)?

It's a pity that on the BS board someone not only lacks a sense of humor but also seems to be cloistered in a monastery somewhere with nothing better to do than oogle.....or google magazines to relieve themselves of their pent up emotions.

The thread was and IS harmless, particularly for this board. The fact that it was initiated by a woman should have lowered the offense level of the thread to about a -1. The fact that it addressed spending the day in bed with someone who was other than a one night stand should have counted for something.

I am old and past the capabilities addressed both emotionally and physically. It at least gave me a chance to laugh and reflect back on those times in my youth when my wife & I, young and in love would spent hours in bed.......playing Canasta while listening to Gospel music on the transistor radio from a station in Radio Free Virginia long before television invaded the bedroom.

That Mahalia Jackson could sure belt out some tunes. I must admit that it did however spark us to get WILD and every now and then we would throw the cards into the air, just so we could play "52 Pick Up". Exhausted from scurrying about picking up the cards .......and occassionally slipping the wife a Joker.....we would pull the covers up.......and just cuddle.

Lordy, I miss it....but the arthritis now prevents us from getting on all fours and doing such things. We are a more refined, sedate, proper couple now having passed on the secret of our relationship to the children....so that they might share as many blissful years together as we have......in a healthy relationship.

I had big plans but all of sudden she deflated. That old adage you get what you pay for is true, even when it comes to inflatables.

First I know some things get out of hand (pissant) but this thread is not one of them.

The only problem with trying to stay in bed all day is we would have to add the dogs to the mix as they would not be thrilled to stay in their cage all day.

Define good time.....I mean, afterall, what's wrong with sleeping, tv, or food in bed all day together?......last time we spent an ENTIRE (any)day in bed together, we were both sick as dogs. It was still a good time by certain standards.

Even assuming a guy was good for 30 minutes an hour every hour (I'm not going to hold you guys to my standards) what the hell ya gonna do with the rest of the time with no TV, sleeping or food?

I do not respond all that often these days. But, I can't believe that ths thead "merits" a warning! With all the nasty, name calling, back biting threads that are posted here (not to mention the hot ****** thread)...this is rather tame in comparison. I guess some lonely, disgruntled people don't even like to think about two consenting adults enjoying each other's company. Papa Bear I agree, my chessie would come through the door after being closed out for more than an hour![grin]

I'm thinking that a certain small minded man who has never
been able to express or accept love felt the need to complain
like a kindergarten tatletail. (I have a pretty good idea who it was)

Blows my mind.

BTW, I'm glad to see Carl posting again. Welcome back Girl.
