Will the high muddy water help out the white shad like I'm hearing some guys say it does for striper? Hope so, I miss em

Hoping the same.

Plenty of current can be good for safe migration to spawning areas, and for keeping fertilized eggs tumbling along, but at the point of obligate exogenous feeding (as the yolk sac peters out and it becomes necessary to make an honest living for the baby fish), its make or break time and severely muddy water can be a real no-no. An ill-timed storm can decimate an entire local year class if it interferes with the critical time period when a young fish has little more than two eyeballs and one heck of an appetite (essentially no body reserves to tap)! Fortunately, not all fish of a given species will spawn at the same time, so they spread their bets a bit.
