I have some family down and haven't been able to get them out much due to wind. They have flown a long way.

I could launch up further up the nanticoke to target other fish

Are the perch still up there?

Thinking about launching out of cherry beach.

Any help would be appreciated.

I feel for you. I was going to go out this week, but the whole week is shot. You might consider targeting upriver fish such as channel cats on chicken livers. Someone else will probably chime is regarding the perch. Good luck.

it still can get pretty darn rough downstream from cherry beach! i would simply punt and launch all the way up in federalsburg or the upper wicomico in salisbury. bring minnows, bloodworms and maybe grass shrimp- you can catch virtually any fish in either area and stay out of the wind. cast minnow or grass shrimp on a shad dart 3' below a bobber to any shoreline structure. bottom fish with the worms. cut up a perch and bottom fish with it for cats.

good luck and enjoy the time with your family.
