i made myself a promise

billy i made myself a promise this yr .. if the temps not above 50 im not fighting the elements .. last yr i broke ice a few times .. not going to do that again .. i should have went last saturday .. but i worked ill 1130 am .. and was raining when i got home .. then the skys clear off .. kicked mself hard on sunday was bored to death .. tomm temps suppose to hit 60s but rain ... ill see what happens maybe give a descent report .. glad you woke everybody up with your post keep em coming ..69 degrees in this house so i can write back lol.. gl all ..

I think one think might be is a lot of guys are either catfishin( which is what I do in the winter) or striper fishing on the bay or ocean (also what I love to do in the winter) so they are probably all on different forums like tidalfish saltwater ones or catfish forums. Just one reason no one is very active.

took friday off

well billy i took friday off to wet a line .. thats all i did was wet the line .. no fish ..two bites for 5 hrs .. i used live minnows and threw a jig in bewteen .. bobber went dwn one time .. though a sm hit on a jig .. water temp 42 degrees .. 44 but 3 pm when i came in .. my lake is not deep .. [speight ] .. so if i get 3 desent days of warm air ill try again .. deepest part of this lake is around 13 feet .. gl guys ..

All lakes and ponds up here by Baltimore are frozen over. Hard to cast a lure through ice. I'll probably wait until early/mid March to give it a shot.
