January is almost gone but with a bit of a cloudy start has really shown it's true colors in the last few weeks. High Pressure weather patterns with abundant sunshine! The temps have been right on their averages of mid 40's at night and low 60's during the day (Perfect.) The water temps have been just right to get these Redfish floating high in the water column. The fish are very easy to spot when they are engaged in that kind of behavior. A shot at a floating Redfish is one of my favorite Fly Fishing opportunities. Looks like allot of sun in the forecast so there is truly no reason to see a dip in the action down here in Louisiana! February is day's away one of my favorite months in Louisiana. With it comes Mardi Gras and more beautiful high pressure weather slap full of Bull Redfish!
