My brother called me last night when he was gutting his deer. he said that he foud a white worm inbetween the skin and the meat. He sadi it looked like a piece of fat, but crawled around when he touched it. I have never seen this, or i missed it. Anyone else had an experience like this?
Thanks

Potentially a "Bot Fly" larvae, aka a "warble", sometimes mispronounced as "wolve". If the larvae is in a place that can't be easily reached by scratching or biting the host animal is stuck with it until it matures and exits through the skin. This would be my guess as to what it was, they are very common in squirrels. Do a "google" search for Bot Fly and you can see plenty of info regarding them.
