Going out Wednesday. Looking to fish the Tiger Wrecks, CLT or somewhere for some action other than Stripers. Anyone have any suggestions? I just need to check out some new equipment and HAVE SOME FUN!!! Tired of hearing about the economy, bail out, bonuses.................................... I don't feel comfortable going out to the Canyon so something within 30 miles.

If you don't want to head all the way to the canyon,,, try giving the Triangle wrks a try... a littler futher to the NE of CLT but then again,,, there are so many obst. around the CLT. I've ALWAYS wanted to go further then the Tri. wrks,,,, but without a buddy boat, I just wont do it..... But that is where the tile and BSB are in the 2,3 4 and 500 ft. of water.... Good luck and be safe... If you're going out there and not with a buddy boat,,, at least leave a boat plan with someone.... your cell/vhf won't get anything out there.

The Tiger should be holding some Togs but you'll probably have to be real patient! The Brass Spike which is 8-10 miles east of the tower and the Gulf Hustler is 5-7 miles soth of the Spike both hold Togs and Seabass. Again with the cooler water temps it may be a little slow but they are there.

Listen to MeOff, he knows.....Stay on the wrecks and you will catch bass.....the bigger ones are usually further out this time of year based on water temps......Good luck if you go..........BTW....your VHF will surely be picked up by the USCG with no problem...as long as it is in good working order.

Thanks for the info. I am monitoring the weather. I have a 24' with a 4000kw radar and all of the safety devices with a new antennae for my radio. I also have a new screw to test. I always make a float plan. I was told this is one of the most important aspects of safe boating. If it's not too snotty we'll try for some BSB on some of the places you mentioned. I'll let you know how we do.
