I have a relatively small boat (18.5' Whaler CC) and I'm thinking about LT rock fishing the Wye River on those days where it's not the safest to go out on the bay. I understand that the river can be productive this time of the year. What parts of the river would you recommend checking out?

This time of year try early morning and dusk topwater. Throw a top water plug into the shallows around some structure and Id bet you will bag a couple of nice fish.

Keep a eye out for docks and points, rockpiles on the shore. Basically anything that may be in the water, so when the water is moving it disrupts the flow. These are good ambush point for rock. Good luck.
