Now that the season is over i was wondering if anyone would mind sharing where the crabs spent their time over the course of the summer and fall. I rent a boat at wye landing and only have an electric trolling motor so i do not go far from the landing. Were the crabs well down the river most of the summer. I did well a couple of days late in the season but did not go much last year because it seemed like they were too far down the river.:helpsmilie:

was there several times this summer,, mosy of the crabs were upriver for most of the time I was there. not much was happening downriver.

nothing wrong with an electric motor if you are not going far,,I know a commercial crabber that goes almost every day & uses an electric motor exclusivley,,he does well with it

plenty of crabs that you could have reached. you know they are near the landing when com. guys are crabbing in skipton creek

I use 7 1/2 hp and six gallons of gas you can go any where you want.
When the crabs are running ,you do not have to go far.
