So ... my Yamaha 2-stroke finally kicked the bucket! :censored: Does anyone have one they are ready to sell, in good condition, with few hours on it or at least is reliable and runs? I don't want to have to change out all the controls as well ... so sticking with a Yamaha seemed like a cheaper idea. Even my boat guy doesn't want to touch it as a rebuild cause it's not worth it.
My creek is so shallow getting out is going to damage whatever engine I put on it anyway. But I don't have another $40K to plop down on a wider hull boat that doesn't push a lot of water.
So either I get another engine or I move the boat to a dock with deeper water access with newer engine ... or I move all together. None of those options are easy ... or cheap!
HELP! :help:

Not sure if you found one, but I would install a hydraulic jack plate when you hang a newer motor. It will allow shallow water operation without damaging your lower unit. Bobs machine shop makes a nice one.
