Gas in the oil sounds like piston rings are going bad.Try having a compression check done.

I would not run the motor until you find out what is wrong. If gas thins the oil - it could do serious damage.

Oil dilution can be caused by a number of things such as over propping, improper break-in, carbonization of cylinders, running too cold.
I would recommend starting with a shock dose of ring free, and making sure you are not over propped, or using the wrong weight of oil.

If you decide to get a compression test done have the mechanic do a leak down test. This is when they test the compression, and when they find the bad cylinder they put a little oil in the combustion chamber and test it again. If the compression gets better, than the rings are most likely bad, if it does not it is in the heads.

"Making Oil" symptom is not uncommonin Yamaha four stroke engines. I'm willing to bet that you have low hours and do a lot of trolling. Your rings are probably not broken in properly. Change the oil and filter. Try not to do too much trolling ( not too easy since it's rockfish season) for a while. The Ring Free suggestion is a good one.

What to thank everyone for there help on why the motor is makeing oil.I did talk to a yamaha mechinac he siad as well that is not uncommon in all four stroke engines to do this and also added that this may be the down fall on four strokes maybe next motor will be a two stroke E TEC.

After 900 hours on my twin F225's, I wouldn't trade them for anything else. the only issue I had was a small recall that was taken care of quickly. I make a habit of running them full bore after they're warm for about 3-4 minutes and again after trolling all day. Some rings take longer to seat than others. Once seated, your good to go. Good luck
