I want to disassemble and replace the seals in my trim/tilt unit. Does anybody here have the special tool to unscrew the piston end caps?:helpsmilie:

Thanks for the offer Capt. John. It is kinda like a spanner wrench but it's a solid metal block with pins on both sides (one side for the tilt end cap and the other for the trim end caps) and a hole for a socket wrench head to be inserted. It's a pretty unique looking tool.

Thanks for the idea. Unfortunately, I am now reading that the end cap seal for the tilt assembly is not replaceable (unlike the trim cylinder end caps). You have to replace the entire tilt assembly $900:eek2: seems ridiculous.

I guess I'll have to just live with a little leak......
