I have been having issues with this motor. I can start the motor for the first time and it starts fine. I run it to fish for a while and cut it off. The motor has trouble starting sometimes I have to choke/reprime the ball to start it. Recently it would not start for about an hour and I was stranded.
I replaced the fuel pumps 2 month ago. It might be them again with all the bad fuel. It idles rough once I got it back started. Also When Im running at 4000 rmps and start to slow down to dock at low speeds it starts to miss/runs bumpy and sound like its starving for fuel. I think its the lower fuel pump or crack in diaphram?
What else could it be? spark plugs??
Last night I changed the lower fuel pump and problem still occurs. I know its on the wrong board and just looking for some help.:helpsmilie:

Thanks for the advise. I changed the fuel pumps and spark plugs. I just cant get the motor to turn over. Fuel was in the pumps when I was changing them. Its like its not getting a spark. Old plugs look a little rough with some debris on them looked like small rust......... Hopefully I can figure it out before this weekend.

This is old school but still works.

Hook up to a 3 or 6 gallon portable gas tank that has fresh fuel in it.This will quickly tell you if bad fuel is causing the trouble. From there you know which way to go.

You might have a filter in the Vapor Seperator Tank (VST).It is a very fine screen that can clog and cause the engine to run bad. If clogged bad enough- it will prevent the engine from starting as well.

The new E-10 fuel loosens up crud in your tank and this clogs filters.
