Went out Saturday from Fox Hill to troll around York River mouth for Rockfish. Got about 1 mile past the old York Spit Light and saw birds with fish breaking. Got closer and they were False Albacore chasing Silversides. At one point there were multiple pods in about a 1/4 mile area. Switched over to casting Stingsilvers. Could not get a strike. This lasted for well over an hour. Called a couple other boats and one other Captain saw them too. He switched to dragging a Clark spoon. No luck either last time I talked to him. Awesome to see these fish in the Bay in late October. These were larger than some of the ones reported this summer. 8 to 12 lbs.
