the 3227 doesn't specify "10 microns". That's the only thing I noticed in the part description. I'd go back and get the right # filter.

 

do you guys use a cannister fuel filter and the Racor fuel/water seperator, or instead of the cannister fuel filter?

 

They are both 10 micron but they are not interchangeable. The threaded hole size in the center is different.

I just bought a new racor fuel filter as well, # 3124 I think for my Scout w/200 hp Yamaha outboard. Two questions:

1. Best way to get the old filter off

2. How to get the clear plastic piece off the bottom of the filter, and on to the new one?
